Born:  1959, in Bologna

 

Education: Graduated from high school, Bologna, Italy (Maturità classica degree, 1979). Graduated cum laude from the Upper Institute of Physical Education (I.S.E.F.), Bologna (1981).

 

Employment history in the field of Physical Education and Sport Schools and extracurricular: having qualified in the relevant competitive examinations, taught in middle school (1984-85) and secondary school (1985-2005). Taught inservice training courses for teachers on behalf of the Superintendent of Schools of Emilia-Romagna (1989-2000). Served on the examining commission which qualified teachers for teaching positions in schools on behalf of the Ministry of Public Education (2000-2001).

Collaborated with the Italian Olympic Committee (C.O.N.I.) at the Scuola dello Sport, teaching training methodology at the regional and national levels (1989-2001). Since 2003 has acted as Coordinator of the Training Sport-Technical Area at the Scuola dello Sport for the Region of Emilia Romagna. Since 1996 has served as a consultant for primary schools and has taught preservice and inservice training courses for teachers in motor education organized by the Education Superintendent Office of the Province of Bologna. Served as the physical trainer responsible for highly qualified and young athletes on tennis and basketball teams for various sports organizations (1992-2004).

 

University of Bologna:

Was a teaching assistant in Physical Training Theory and Methodology at the I.S.E.F (1999-2001), then Faculty of Exercise and Sport Sciences (2002-2004), and contract professor of “Individual Sports Theory, Technique and Didactics,” for the specialized degree (2004).

Since 2005 has been a Researcher and Aggregate Professor at the University of Bologna. Course regularly taught: “Individual Sports Theory, Technique and Didactics,” 1st Level Degree Course (Rimini campus); “Physical Training Theory and Methodology”; 2nd Level Degree in Bologna (2005-2009), “Individual Sports Theory, Technique and Didactics,” Advanced 2nd Level Degree Course in Bologna (2005-2007).  

Member of the Doctoral Council in “Human development and movement”, project “Physical and Sports Activities”, Università degli Studi di Bologna (2006 – 2012).
