Ghulam Mustafa

Ghulam Mustafa is a PhD student in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Bologna. His doctoral research focuses on machine learning and scientific data analysis for gamma-ray astrophysics. He contributes to research associated with NASA’s Compton Spectrometer and Imager (COSI) mission, with particular interests in gamma-ray burst detection and localization, Compton event reconstruction, Angular Resolution Measure analysis, background modeling, and automated scientific pipelines. His broader research interests include deep learning, computer vision, and time-series analysis. He earned his Master’s degree in Computer and Electronic Convergence Engineering from Sun Moon University, South Korea, and his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Pakistan. He also completed an academic exchange program at Karabük University, Türkiye.
