Curriculum vitae

11/2020 - Present PhD candidate at University of Bologna, curriculum: Industrial Chemistry

My PhD program is a shared program between University of Bologna and SACMI Imola S.C.
My doctoral project will focus on the development of sustainable packaging through:
- Chemical modification and molding of cellulosic matrices

- Process of bio-based/cellulosic materials for food packaging;

- Study of the recycling of polymeric materials;

- Overall control of volatile and odorous substances contained in the packaging and their migration;

01/2020 - 10/2020 Research fellowship at SACMI Imola S.C. (Interdepartmental center for Industrial Research - Advanced Mechanics and Materials)

Project: Optimization of polymeric material processes to reduce the formation of volatile substances in a perspective of technological development of sustainable materials

03/2019-09/2019 R&D Packaging intern

I interned at SACMI Imola SC and at the laboratories of the Department of Industrial Chemistry “Toso Montanari” (University of Bologna). During the internship I worked on the development of analytical methods for the identification and quantification of volatile and semi-volatile organic substances (VOCs and SVOCs) contained in poliolefin matrices processed by different types of extruders and using different process conditions.
Once the most accurate analytical method was established, I focused on identifying a correlation between the processing parameters in the extruder and the final content of volatile components.

05/2016-06/2016 FasTech Srl intern

Project: Study of EPDM copolymerization using vinyl norbornene (VNB).

Master's degree in Science and Technology of Industrial Chemistry (LM-71), Industrial Chemistry
