Short Bio

I am a Ph.D. student in Philosophy of Science at the University of Bologna since 2017. I am a researcher in the field of Philosophy of Neuroscience and in particular Consciousness studies. Since 2019 I am Honorary Fellow at the Center for Sleep and Consciousness of the University of Wisconsin - Madison. In 2020 I successfully completed the doctoral supervision programme "European Ph.D. Network in Philosophy" from the universities of: Bergen (Norway), Bielefeld (Germany), Bucharest (Romania), Helsinki (Finland), Uppsala (Sweden). In 2016 I graduated (Msc, with Merit) from the University of Edinburgh (UK) with a specialization in Philosophy of Science. In 2015 I graduated from the University of Bologna with a dissertation in History and Philosophy of Biology. My main research interest include: causation, causal reductionism, volition and free will, dream research in neuroscience (in particular lucid dreams) and the phenomenology of pain.
