History of Twentieth-century China, with particular regard to
the period between the Fourties and the Fifties - bringing into play also Classic Chinese History and its heritage.
She carried on her researches in China, in the United States, in
Heidelberg and in other most important sinological centers in Europe, focusing on the Korean war and its consequences in whole East Asia - and on the first, fundamental
principles and moves of Prc's Foreign policy.
On the domestic
front, she researched the Chinese civil war (1946-1949), and
following years: the process of State-building in China; different
priorities and political and economic
visions within the Chinese leadership.
