Fiorella Sgallari

Fiorella Sgallari is full professor of Numerical Analysis since 2002.

She is Member of Academy of Sciences of Bologna Institute, 2018- present.

She is Member of Excellence Center ARCES-UNIBO, Advanced Research Center on Electronic Systems for Information and Communication Technologies E. De Castro , 2018-present

She is author of 140 publications,  4 didactical books, 1 conference proceedings, 3 book chapters, 4 journal special issues and 1 patent.

The research activity is mainly focused on the analysis and implementation of numerical methods for the solution of large-scale discrete ill-posed inverse problems, with particular interest in variational models/methods and and PDEs models applied to inverse imaging problems as image restoration, reconstruction, segmentation, inpainting and super-resolution.
