Filippo Monti is adjunct professor of Chemistry at the School of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Bologna. He is also permanent researcher at the Institute for Organic Synthesis and Photoreactivity of the National Research Council of Italy.
His research interests concern the photophysical and photochemical characterisation of supramolecular systems and of transition-metal complexes for applications in light-to-energy conversion, lighting technologies and photocatalysis.
He has authored more than 40 scientific publications on international peer-reviewed journals (H-index = 19, collecting more than 1500 citations, Scopus) and has been invited to present his research activity at 6 national and international conferences. He has also received several awards, among them the "GIF Young Investigator Award 2016" and a special mention for the "European Young Chemist Award 2016".
