Federica Ruani

Born in 1997, I graduated with laude in Chemistry and Materials Chemistry at Alma Mater Studiorum in Bologna in July 2019, with a thesis on the preparation and optimization of ordered mesoporous titanium oxide films for the manifacture of perovskitic photovoltaic cells (Professor Fabrizia Grepioni as supervisor and Doctor Chiara Dionigi as co-supervisor).

Then, I obtained my international Master Degree in Photochemistry and Molecular Materials in July 2021 with laude. The thesis subject was the Photophysical Characterization of Molecular Persulfurated Asterisks, with Professor Paola Ceroni as supervisor and Doctor Andrea Fermi as co-suppervisor.

I am currently a PhD candidate in Chemistry at the university of Bologna (37° cicle), working for CONDOR project at the Institute of Organic Synthesis and Photoreactivity (ISOF) of the CNR in Bologna. The aim of CONDOR project is the production of fuels by using carbon dioxide (CO₂) as feedstock and sunlight as the sole energy source.
