RESEARCH INTEREST

Innovation; organizational change; technological innovation.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

PhD, Department of Educational Sciences, University of Bologna (Italy). PhD on “Organizational Psychology” (tutor Prof. Salvatore Zappalà). During the first year of PhD I wrote a literature review on “the process  of innovation in organizations” and a research project focused on individual innovation in the workplace. Dissertation title: “Innovation in the Workplace: The Role of Job Characteristics, Motivation and Organizational Factors in Promoting Ideas Generation and Adoption” presented on March the 30th . 2010 Best Doctoral Dissertation on Organizational Psychology Award, AIP (Italian Association of Psychology).

 

September 2000 – November 2005:  Faculty of Psychology, University of Bologna. Studies and Degree in Work and Organizational Psychology (final grade 105/110). Dissertation title: “Nuove tecnologie e cambiamento organizzativo: accettazione di software “Open Source” in un ospedale” [New technologies and organizational change: acceptance of Open Source software in a hospital]. Supervisor: Prof. Salvatore Zappalà.

 

September 1995 – June 2000: High School Diploma “Liceo Scientifico Statale “Galileo Galilei” – Macerata (Italy).

 

POST-LAUREAM APPRENTICESHIP

September 2006 – March 2007: Post-Lauream Apprenticeship (second semester) at ECIPAR (vocational training center of “CNA”, a national association of small and medium enterprises).

Activities:

- vocational training courses organization and realization;

- visits and interviews inside companies for the final report publication “Repertory of Excellent Enterprises” (CNA).

 

March 2006 – September 2006: Post-Lauream Apprenticeship at the University of Bologna, Department of Educational Sciences (tutor Prof. M.L. Pombeni).

Activities:

- literature review on organizational change;

- paper based on the research made for my graduation degree (published on an Italian journal).

April – June 2008: visiting student at the University of Giessen (Germany), Faculty of Psychology, Department of Work and Organizational Psychology (referent Prof. Michael Frese).

(3rd – 8th) September 2007: Summer School on  “Regression analysis in purge and stratification processes: how to control for spurious, suppressing, mediating and moderating relations between variables” promoted by A.I.P at the University residential centre of Bertinoro (Italy).

January 2007 – February 2007: visiting student at the University of Tampere (Finland), Department of Computer Science (referent Prof. Mikko Ruohonen). Granted by the Faculty of Psychology (University of Bologna) within the program “Deepening the Degree Thesis in a Foreign University”.
