After graduating at the Politecnico in Milan, he obtained his PhD in "Architecture" and "Proyectos arquitectónicos” respectively at the University of Bologna and at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, with a thesis on the works and way of thinking of Carlos Martí Arís. He was a temporary research associate for the development of a project about the rural architecture of the Emilian country at the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna, where he teaches "Landscape Architecture" as a professor on contract. He is a member of the “Laboratorio Ricerca Emilia”, work unit created by the same Department and engaged in those territories struck by the earthquake. In this field, he got involved in a project study of the parish area of San Biagio (San Felice sul Panaro) and of the requalification of the historic nucleus of Gavello (Mirandola). He taught "Architectural design" and "Design of public spaces" with different contract types at the European Institute of Design (IED) and at the Istituto Superiore di Architettura e Design (ISAD), both in Milan. He also published several works, both nationally and worldwide.
