Eva Picardi is Full Professor of Philosophy of Language at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Bologna since March 2003 (where she had been Associate Professor since 1988). She has studied in UK (Oxford D.Phil, 1984) and in Germany (Humboldtstipendiat, University of Erlangen/Nuernberg, 1989). Her research interests focus on contemporary analytical philosophy and on the history and philosophy of logic. She has written several books and essays on the philosophy of logic of Gottlob Frege and on the theories of meaning. Her most recent papers deal with the relationship between semantics and pragmatics, and with the issue of contextualism, starting from Gottlob Frege till present days debates.
During the first half of the academic 2015-2016 I will see students on Monday, from 11 am till 13 pm.
