STATISTICAL MECHANICS EXAMS

In the period of sanitary emergency, exams will be organised on-line according to the following procedures.

  • Registration in the AlmaExams list is compulsory. The list closes 4 days before the official date of the exam.
  • Students will be interviewed following the order in the list. Starting with the official date, at most 6 students will be examined each day. The exact schedule will be sent to students 3 days before the official date of the exam.
  • The on-line exam is taken through the Microsoft Teams platform, according to the instructions that you can found at

    https://www.unibo.it/en/services-and-opportunities/online-services/online-services-for-students-1/lessons-and-exams-online

  • Remember that you need at least a microphone and a webcam. We need to see you and control your identity via a valid Identity Document.

You understand that it is important to have a stable connection.

  • Each exam will last about an hour. It will be organized as follows:
  1. First question: you choose a topic of the program (theory or exercise) and prepare in advance a brief presentation (10-15 minutes) about it. In order to show calculations or graphs, you should prepare slides with any software you like or scan hand-written notes in advance. The file will be shared with the professor via Teams and will serve as a basis for your oral presentation. Put in it all details you think are necessary to understand what you say orally.
  2. Second and third question will be chosen by the professor. Be ready to be able to show written explanations to the professor. You can organize yourself in different ways: you may use a graphic tablet; you may use a webcam to film live what you are writing on a piece of paper/blackboard; you may have a few minutes to write down some notes and scan/take a picture of them to be shared via Teams; …

Office hours.

Write an e-mail to schedule a call via Teams.
