Dr Elena Pagani holds a Master's degree in Agricultural Science and Technology from the Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna. She graduated in 2020 with a thesis on intercropping systems for biomass and bioenergy crops, for which she obtained the grade 110/110L. She is currently working on her PhD thesis in the scientific unit AGR/02 of the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences (DISTAL). Her new career is based on the intercropping systems with a new oilseed crop, Camelina sativa, and legumes. Furthermore she is involved in several European projects focuses on the integration of new oilseeds such as Camelina and Brassica carinata into traditional farming systems in Mediterrenean area. She is currently working for the SCOOP (Core-organic), 4CE-MED (PRIMA) and CARINA (HORIZON 2020) projects.
