Dimitrios Zafeirakis

Energy Engineer, holding an MSc in Energy from the University of Heriot Watt in the UK and a PhD in the Economics of Energy Storage Applications from the University of East Anglia in the UK. He is Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineers Department, UNIWA, with his research interests focusing on the development and application of integration strategies for energy storage and RES technologies, and the synthesis of flexibility portfolios for the support of RES in the electricity generation sector. Interest also in vector coupling strategies, holistic management schemes at the community scale and ML-based forecasting techniques in the energy domain.
