Prof. Daria Giacomini
Graduated in Chemistry in 1982. Grants by Tecnofarmaci "Progetto
Vimi II" in 1983, and by National Academy of Lincei 1984-1986. In
1986 she took her PhD in Chemistry under the supervision of
Prof. Gianfranco Cainelli with a thesis “Total Synthesis of
prostaglandins and beta-lactams”.
Researcher at the National Council of Research from 1988
to 1990, she studied synthesis and reactivity of organometallic
compounds of copper and silicon.
Research Assistant at the Department of Chemistry “G.Ciamician”
University of Bologna Faculty of Science from 1990 to 2000.
Since 2000 she has been Associate Professor in Organic Chemistry
in the Faculty of Science, University of Bologna.
