Research

My research is aimed at the stereochemical characterisation of complex chiral systems, mainly of pharmaceutical interest, by computational methods based on quantum mechanics (TD-DFT), chiroptical spectroscopy (ECD) and enantioselective liquid chromatography (eHPLC). I am currently focussing my attention on the application of these techniques to the study of flexible, medium-to-large sized chiral molecules, of drug-protein interactions and of solvation effects on chiroptical properties.
