Description:
CISA comes to life from the previous Scientific Collaboration Agreements for the realization of the 'Adriatlas Project', which brings together various European scientific institutions: CNRS, Institut Archéologique de Ljubljana, Instituti i Arkeologjisë-Tiranë, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, University of Studies of Bari Aldo Moro, University of 'G. D'Annunzio 'Chieti-Pescara, University of Ferrara, University of Foggia, University of Salento, University of Macerata, University of Padua, University of Trieste, Catholic University of Croatia-Zagreb, University of Zadar , Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna. The new Center aims to promote and strengthen historical and archaeological investigations on the Adriatic in ancient times, developing, supporting and implementing common research, training, enhancement and management programs and projects, connected to the specific theme of the project 'AdriAtlas', anchored to a horizon extended from Prehistory to the Early Middle Ages and calibrated on an open gaze to the entire Mediterranean basin and the Danubian provinces. In the creation of a computerized atlas of the ancient Adriatic (11th century BC-8th century AD) based on a database and an interactive map with open consultation, already partially available on the Internet at adriaticummare.org/Map_Adriatlas/. the unit of Bologna is responsible for the territory of Romagna and the province of Bologna. We want to present the current state of knowledge from the Bronze Age to the borders of the Early Middle Ages. Each relevant site attested either by excavations or by ancient literary sources will have a card, to inform the user - including the potential tourist - not only on the strictly archaeological and historical aspects, but also on the available bibliography, on the musealization of the remains present on site and of the finds found, on the possibility of visiting and on the state of protection.
