Academic discipline: L-LIN/01 Historical and General Linguistics



Exams for “General Linguistics” that will take place during the Covid-19 health emergency (that is, at least in May, June and July) will be administered remotely. The written test will be administered by jointly using the platform “Esami Online” (EOL: (for the test) and the Zoom application (for proctoring). The students who signed up for the exam will be able to access the test on the day that has been established for the exam. The written exam will have the sameallotted time frame, the same structure and learning+evaluation goals indicated on the course web page, section “Assessment methods” ( As soon as possible we will publish (on the course web page and on the familiar IOL platform) all technical instructions concerning the precise way the exam will take place, together with further information on the test’s adaptation to the online format. In any case, for the written exam candidates will need to use a computer or laptop, a webcam showing the entire desk, and a stable internet connection. The results of the written exams will be published within a week, after the necessary checking procedure and manual grading. Oral examinations will take place on the Teams platform, and will be scheduled in turns of four students per hour.
