Curriculum vitae

PhD student at the Department of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences (34th cycle), she carries out her studies in the field of Environmental Hydrogeology. The research project investigates the possibility of using plant material as a passive tool for detecting and tracking groundwater contaminations by chlorinated solvents.

Supervisor: Prof. Alessandro Gargini
Co-supervisor: Dr. Maria Filippini

Training and education
Graduated in Geology at the University of Bologna in 2018 with a thesis entitled:
"Numerical modeling for the evaluation of a remediation process in an aquifer contaminated with hexavalent chromium (part of the Site of National Interest "Brescia Caffaro")".

Supervisor: Dr. Maria Filippini

In 2017 she completed an internship at the British Geological Survey (Nottingham, UK) where she studied the hydrothermal resource of Buxton, in Derbyshire, and assessed the groundwater balance of an aquifer used for drinking water.

Between 2013 and 2014 she participated and won an Erasmus call for applications at the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisbon (Portugal) and a call for thesis in Marine Geology at the Universidade Federal de Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil).
