Barbara Nicoletti

Barbara Nicoletti is a Doctoral researcher of the XXXVII cycle at the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (LILEC) of the University of Bologna – curriculum Modern Languages Studies (LINGMOD). Her broad research interests lie within the field of sociolinguistics of the German language as a minority language in multilingual and postcolonial contexts. She investigates the relationships between identity and language attitudes.

At the University of Bologna, she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, where the curriculum was focused on English, German and Japanese. Subsequently, in 2021 she earned a Master's Degree in Language, Society and Communication (110/110 cum laude) and specialised in English and German linguistics as well as translation studies.
