Junior Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna from April 2019, I have been conducting research in the field of Aegean Bronze Age archaeology and epigraphy for many years. As a memeber of the ERC INSCRIBE project (Invention of Scritps and their Beginnings) team, my current research activity focuses on the Aegean undeciphered writing systems (Cretan Hieroglyphic and Linear A) and their contexts.
After graduating in Classics, I specialised in Aegean Archaeology at the Italian School of Archaeology at Athens (2005-2007). I undertook my PhD at the University of Florence about epigraphic and archaeological evidence for buildings and builders in the Mycenaean Period (2011). I went on to do research and teaching activities both in Italy and abroad, including Brazil (USP-MAE Fellowship), Germany (von Humboldt Fellowship) and Greece (Onassis Fellowship).
