Augusto Hubaide Nozella

Augusto Hubaide Nozella is a PhD student at Università di Bologna primally researching metabolomics, and natural products. His main research interests are chromatography, mass spectrometry, NMR and metabolomics applied to the natural products field.

Concurrently he is also conducting a study of the evolution of the metabolism of lichens in the valley of the Ticino’s River in Italy by ¹H NMR profiling, with the aim to better understand how these organisms react to the environmental conditions along the year.

Augusto is also very interested in the application of metabolomics to ecological preservation, sustainable development, and food sciences. He believes that this versatile technique can be fruitfully applied in many different sources of natural products.
