Short Bio

PhD student at University of Bologna in collaboration with National Research Council. He has 2 years working experience on applied research in biology, management and conservation of marine resources, in fishing technology and evaluation of fishing impact. He participated in 2 oceanographic cruises on board research vessels and as fisheries observer in more than 100 monitoring on board commercial fishing vessels (e.g. bottom trawler, hydraulic dredge, gill nets, longline, tuna trap). He participated at 13 national and international projects and 3 international conferences. Co-author of 21 technical scientific reports and 15 peer reviewed scientific articles. His main working activities regard the experimentation of devices for the reduction of 'bycatch' (BRDs); studies on the selectivity of towed and static gears, the issue of discards and conservation of protected marine species.
