Short Bio

Geologist, BSc (2009, Honours) and MSc (2012, Honours) at the University of Bologna (Italy). MSc thesis was carried out during an internship founded by the EU (Erasmus Pl.) at the British Geological Survey (Nottingham, UK), concerning the morphogenetic interpretation of a tufa outcrop located in the Southern margin of Derbishire. In 2017 he gained his PhD in Geology (palaeoclimatology and landscape evolution) at the Melbourne University (Australia), studying the potential of carbonate speleothems from Mediterranean gypsum caves for palaeoclimate and palaeoenvironmental reconstructions. From March 2017 he is research fellow at the University of Bologna, BiGeA Department, with the project: geomicrobiological factors influencing quartz-sandstone weathering and deposition of silica speleothems.
