My master's degree was in Prehistoric Archeology, specializing in Middle Paleolithic lithic technology and faunal analysis. My thesis research examines Levallois point morphology and technology at Tabun and Skhul caves using 3D imaging methods. In parallel, I am actively involved in the study of Late Pleistocene faunal remains from Adarim Cave in the Galilee, focusing on taxonomic identification and taphonomic processes.
My academic background combines archaeology, environmental sciences, and molecular techniques. I hold a BSc in Environmental Sciences and Ecology, where I gained experience in extracting DNA from soil samples and perform PCR. My research interests lie at the intersection of archaeology, paleoproteomics, and taphonomy, with a particular focus on how biomolecular approaches can enhance our understanding of prehistoric human-environment interactions. I am currently expanding my skill set to include ZooMS, FTIR analysis, and archaeozoology. Additionally, I have extensive archaeological fieldwork experience and am proficient in R, MATLAB, 3D modeling, and graphic design.
