I am a PhD student (41st cycle) in Structural Geology at the University of Bologna, enrolled in the Earth, Life and Environmental Sciences (STVA) course.
My PhD project is titled "The Alps – Apennines junction along the Sestri-Voltaggio tectonic Zone" and aims at understanding the tectonic evolution of the area through geochronological constraints and reconstruction of the deformation phases, hence providing a structural and metamorphic characterization of the main tectonic boundaries. The project also wants to further explore the role of transverse structures in orogenic evolution trends.
My PhD supervisor is Professor Gianluca Vignaroli and my co-supervisor is Professor Giulio Viola.
