I got my MSc in Planning and management of agro-territorial, forest, and landscape (2019). I am in the second year of the international Ph.D. program in Agricultural, Environmental and Food Science and Technology at the University of Bologna. Through my doctoral pathway, I want to specialize as a tree physiologist and forest ecologist. My research interests include tree physiological responses (i.e., water-use efficiency, foliar nutrient concentrations, tree - ectomycorrhizal fungi relationships, non-structural carbohydrates dynamics) to environmental limitation (e.g., drought, nutrient availability) and anthropogenic disturbances (pollution, atmospheric deposition, increasing atmospheric CO2 concentration). I am currently working on an experimental site in a beech forest in the Alps, where nitrogen deposition is evaluated. In this current project, the isotopic approach is used to understand further water-use efficiency (WUE) and the nitrogen cycle in forest ecosystems.
