Alessandra is a PhD student in Banking and Finance at the University of Bologna, Italy. She holds a Bachelor degree in International Business with Languages from Glasgow Caledonian University and a Master degree in International Development from the University of Edinburgh. She has worked in the field of EU project management for two years. Her main research interests include microfinance, microfinance institutions, their related corporate governance mechanisms as well as the impact of such microfinance programs on their beneficiaries.
