On 7th of July 2008, I get the School Leaving Certificate at Liceo Ginnasio Statale Vincenzo Monti in Cesena. On 26th of July 2012, I obtained a bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering at Seconda facoltà di Ingegneria, University of Bologna, based in Cesena, discussing a thesis in Clinical Engineering, titled "Individuazione e stima di parametri per la valutazione di ottiche endoscopiche" (Identification and estimation of parameters for evaluation of optical endoscopic), developed in collaboration with Prof. Eng. Claudio Lamberti and the O.U. of Clinical Engineering at Maurizio Bufalini Hospital in Cesena. On 16th of July 2015, I obtained the Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the Scuola di Ingegneria e Architettura, University of Bologna, campus of Cesena, discussing an experimental thesis in Meccanica dei Tessuti Biologici LM, titled "Sviluppo e caratterizzazione di scaffold elettrofilati per la ricostruzione del tessuto tendineo" (Development and characterization of electrospun scaffolds for tendon tissue reconstruction), developed in collaboration with Prof. Ing. Luca Cristofolini and the Group of Macromolecules of the Prof. Maria Letizia Focarete, Department of Chemistry Giacomo Ciamician, University of Bologna. From 29th of March 2019 I did my Ph.D. (cum Laude) in Mechanics and Advanced Sciences of Engineering, University of Bologna, with a thesis titled “Biomateriali da elettrofilatura per la rigenerazione del tessuto muscolo-scheletrico e loro validazione biomeccanica” (Electrospinning biomaterials and structures for the regeneration of the musculoskeletal tissue: development and biomechanical validation), developed under the supervision of Prof. Eng. Luca Cristofolini and the co-supervision of Prof. Maria Letizia Focarete and Prof. Eng. Andrea Zucchelli.
From the 1st of November 2018 I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow of the Interdipartimental Center of Industrial Research on Advanced Mechanics and Materials (CIRI-MAM) of the University of Bologna, on the FET-OPEN H2020 project "Magnify: from nano to macro", under the supervision of Prof. Eng. Andrea Zucchelli. From 2022, I am a Research Fellow at the Department of Industrial Enfineering under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Zucchelli. In 2020 I was awarded with the prestigious "Best Doctoral Thesis in Biomechanics 2020" by the European Society of Biomechanics, for the scientific results and the work done during my PhD.
