Short Bio

Professor of “Contemporary History” and “History of the Welfare State” at the Faculty of Educational Science (Bologna University), coordinator of an Erasmus-History project of Bologna University (exchange of students in historical disciplines among European universities); deputy of Bologna University in the Overseas project for the exchange of students (and teachers) with E.C.Co. (Eastern College Consortium in U.S.A.). Moreover professor of Contemporary History at the Modena Military Academy and Modern Italian History at E.C.Co. in Bologna.

My studies have mainly focused on the building of democracy in Emilia-Romagna in the XIX century; the history of the economy and industrial growth in the same region between 1800 and 1900; the history of fascism; the second world war; the resistance movement and post-war period.

Office hours

Professor Preti meets students on Thursday (4 to 6 p.m.) or by appointment if necessary (Dipartimento di Storia Cultura Civiltà, room 29). From october 25th he receives on Wednesday (11 a.m. to 1 p.m).
He receives students of the Bachelor in Educatore sociale in Rimini, by appointment.
