21st GiESCO International Meeting
The 21st GiESCO International Meeting (Group of international Experts for Cooperation onVitivinicultural Systems) will be held during June 23-28, 2019 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The Meeting will cover the main fields in viticultural research and innovation focusing on vine [http://www.giesco2019.gr/] ecophysiology, vineyard management, grape and wine quality, and sustainable production. A professional day will also be included, with the aim to summon attendees from the private sector and strengthen the exchange of knowledge and information between researchers and end-users.
The Meeting will be also the occasion to visit important vineyard areas of north Greece. North Greece hosts numerous indigenous and international grape varieties under diverse soil, climate and topography conditions, offering a variety of terroirs and wine styles.
