Laurea Magistrale in Chimica (cod. 8856)
Conoscenze e abilità da conseguire
At the end of the course the student will know the most important aspects of toxicology related to the use of pharmaceutically active substances. He/she will be familiar with the methods for forecasting the relation between structure and toxicity of drugs and for designing safer alternatives to problematic drugs.
Contenuti
The course is an introduction to computational methods applied to the tackling of chemical problems with emphasis on the relation between structure and chemical properties (biological activity and toxicity). The emphasis will be on the rational design of new molecules of chemical, biological and pharmacological interest and on the toxicity of chemicals.
