Contenuti

As well as creative talent, modern fashion also depended upon image and advertising spectacles, and the visual presentation of fashion quickly became as important as the production of garments.

An analysis of fashion exhibitions of the last decades will show that both fashion scholars and museums have started understanding fashion from a broader perspective.

During the class we will use fashion exhibitions to reveal concepts and societal processes once only typical of visual arts and we will analyze the relation between fashion representation with the creation of consumer desire.
