95922 - SOSTENIBILITA' AMBIENTALE DELLE INFRASTRUTTURE STRADALI M

Academic Year 2022/2023

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Environmental Engineering (cod. 8894)

Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide students with a general picture of the major externalities produced by road transport infrastructures, starting with the identification and quantification of the impacts they have on the environment and on humans. First of all, the bases of the project and construction of the roads will be proposed with particular reference to the modification of the territory in terms of landscape and the genesis of fragmentation phenomena (and related impacts on biodiversity) and emissions into the environment (water, air, soil) . Design scenarios will be shown with innovative solutions for the mitigation, containment and control of externalities, with a view to a more context-sensitive design (Context-Sensitive Design). Some (green) approaches will be described as alternatives to traditional gray design and construction techniques. A specific design exercise (individual or group) can be planned on an application case.
