84920 - Pharmaceutical Chemistry of the Biotechnological Drugs

Academic Year 2022/2023

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: Single cycle degree programme (LMCU) in Pharmacy (cod. 9219)

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student should learn basic notions on the production of biotech proteins and on their therapeutic and diagnostic application. In particular, the student should know the chemical class and the molecular mechanism of action of the biotechnologically derived drug products currently available. Moreover, at the end of the course, the student is expected to understand the processes, techniques and problems related to the production, characterization and application of biotech drugs. Know in detail the structural properties, function, production techniques and application of the biotech drugs treated during the course.

Course contents

PART I
