Greet, introduce yourself, say your age, date of birth and nationality, give information on marital status and profession, say where you live, ask and provide the telephone number, ask and provide timetables, talk about your family and home, describe someone, ask and provide a personal opinion, talk about their tastes, talk about health, daily news, situation at the doctor and at the market.

Gramatic contents:The alphabet and phoneticsPhonetic changes: alternation of voiceless and voiced consonants, reduction of unacentated vowels. Main spelling rules.

MorphologyThe noun (gender and number. Determination). The article. Vocative forms.The pronouns.Personal pronouns subject, direct object and indirect object. Tonic and unstressed forms. The reflexive personal pronoun. Doubling of the object.Interrogative pronouns.Relative and demonstrative pronouns.Negative pronouns.Possessive pronoun. Long (tonic) and short (unstressed) forms. The possessive reflexive pronoun.The adjectives. The adverbs. Degrees of comparison.The numerals: cardinal and ordinal (gender, number, articulation).The verb. Conjugation (The types e, и, а). Assessment methods

The final exam includes a written test (lexico-grammatical test) and an oral part on the topics covered during the course (70% of the final grade). Students are required to prepare for lessons by completing their homework (30% of the final grade).
