Learning outcomes

At the end of the module, the student has knowledge on the pathophysiology, the functional and instrumental semiotics and clinical general surgery.

• Semiotics and Anatomy of the gastrointestinal system

• Acute peritonitis / acute abdomen

• Bleeding upper digestive

• Bleeding lower digestive

• Intestinal occlusions

• Acute pancreatitis

• Acute pathology of the gallbladder and biliary tract

• Pneumothorax

• Portal hypertension and esophageal varices.

• Acute Appendicitis

• Peptic ulcer: symptoms, diagnosis, treatment complications: bleeding, perforation, stenosis

• Neoplasms of the stomach

• Benign and malignant liver neoplasms

• Colorectal Neoplasms


• Abdominal wall defects

• Neoplasms of the pancreas

• Basics of robotic surgery
