Learning outcomes

This course focuses on business models and innovation strategies applied to business models. The class will analyse how successful companies have reinvented their business models sometimes challenging common wisdom about Strategic Management. The course will also highlight business strategies and architectures to capture the opportunities offered by the digital marketplace and the different applications of technology to support business choices.

Teaching methods

Acquisition of key concepts and training with analytical tools will take place through lectures, group discussion, case studies, and readings. Teamwork will help students experiment with strategic problem solving and decision making in real business cases.

Assessment methods

Written exam, with a multiple choice section and an open question/exercise. For those who cannot attend the exam, it is possible to have an oral exam on the Teams platform

Group work finalized to prepare and present a business case

Exam grades can be refused.

Grades are defined as follows

• <18 insufficient
• 18-23 sufficient
• 24-27 good
• 28-30 very good
• 30 e lode excellent
