Learning outcomes

The Course section deals with the system of cultural and creative industries that includes, in an integrated way: cultural heritage, tourism, fashion, audiovisual production, design itself as the domain of development of the cultural and creative sector. The course provides knowledge on cultural and creative processes in the fields of humanities and social sciences, management and communication. At the end of the module the student knows:  to understand the interactions between the different actors of the cultural and creative system;  identify the needs of the actors and develop measurable value in terms of cultural and territorial capital;  identify the products-services that, when properly thought out, can represent the outcome of the project.

Course contents

Consistent with the overall structure of the Program / Content Course on Design Thinking - Product-Service Design Laboratory, this course section will enable students to:

a) to elaborate an analytical approach for the exploration and investigation of the logics of social organization and the processes of institutionalization of spaces and places;
b) to experiment the learning and the exercise of project investigation (in which knowledge production and intervention in problematic contexts are in a circular relationship and feed each other) on the terrain of those processes and logics.
