Readings/Bibliography

It is not necessary to purchase specific texts. Updated teaching material is provided in class.

Teaching methods

During the lectures, the general problems connected with the performance of control activities in the field of food safety will be discussed.

There are moments of group work in order to provide each student with the opportunity to measure themselves in the design of autonomous solutions to the real problems that will be posed.

In addition, in order to be admitted to take the final exam, students must pass a self-assessment test, consisting of multiple choice questions.

Assessment methods

After passing the self-assessment test, the verification of learning takes place through the final exam, which ascertains the acquisition of the knowledge and skills expected by carrying out a written test lasting 60 minutes without the help of notes or books.

The written test consists of 18 multiple-choice questions and 3 open-ended questions that will tend to ascertain the student's theoretical knowledge of the topics covered in class.

Each multiple choice question solved correctly allows you to get a point, there are no penalties for any missed answers or incorrect answers, each open-ended question will be evaluated up to a maximum of 4 points.

The final grade is calculated as the overall sum of the points obtained exclusively in the final exam.
