Learning outcomes

 At the end of the cours of lessons, the students will be able to know the most important authors of Italian Literature, above all Dante, Petrarca and Boccaccio.

Course contents

 

Beauty, Love and Truth: Beatrice, Laura and Fiammetta in the literary perspective of Dante, Petrarca and Boccaccio.

 

  The first part of the course is dedicated to stress the importance of the meaning of beauty and truth. The second part of the course concerns the figures of Beatrice, Laura and Fiammetta and their deep relevance for Commedia, Canzoniere and Decameron.
