Learning outcomes
The course aims at providing a practical experience of micro-data analysis using the statistical package Stata. The attendance of the course on Data Analysis for the Social Sciences is required, as well as the knowledge of basic elements of methodology and statistics for the social sciences. By the end of the course students will be able to perform basic Stata programming to: import and manage data and variables, implement descriptive statistical analyses and basic multivariate analyses.
Course contents
The course aims at introducing the basic elements of Stata programming: opening and saving files; importing data; managing variables; performing basic descriptives statistical analysis; performing multivariate analyses and preparing the output of the analyses.
