Learning outcomes

The student, at the end of the course acquires knowledge about healthy lifestyles and values that must be transmitted to the citizens to prevent the onset of cardiovascular disease and certain cancers.

Course contents

Lifestyle and cardiovascular health. Nutrients. Dietetic regimes. Super Food. Recommendations. Caloric restriction and longevity.

To get an overview, the electronic book “Manuale di Alimentazione per Professionisti Sanitari. Arianna Corbu. Collana EbookECM. 2017”, is highly suggested.

The resources included in the 2017 Osservasalute Report of the National Health Observatory in the Italian Regions are particularly useful.

Teaching methods

The course consists of 1 CFU (frontal teaching). A seminar given by a food expert is scheduled.

Assessment methods

The final exam consists of the oral presentation of a topic casually extracted by a default list of 5 questions given at the beginning of the course.
The vote is 1/6 to the final grade of the Integrated Course.
