Learning outcomes

The course provide the basic concepts on spatial planning, concerning the civil infrastructure, water, energy, industry. The objective is obtain an organic knowledge of the environment and the territory framework.

Course contents

Requirement

All the lectures will be given in Italian, therefore the knowledge of Italian language is necessary for attending the lectures and for using the didactic materials that will be provided.

Course Contents

Lectures: City evolution, planning tools, environment protection; urna traffic; water and soil consumption; public/private partnership.

Application: analysis and interpretation of data for building the knowledge framework of planning tools.

Teaching methods

The course foresees:

- lectures providing the cultural and normative framework for spatial planning activities;

- exercises (individual and group activities) for helping planning tools reading, useful also for making exercise with the use of GIS.

Assessment methods

The assessment method foresees a final exam, to verify the acquired competences through a writtwn exam with questions of the topic explaned during the lectures. The exame will take 3 hours without use of books and other materials.

The applicative part of course foresees the assessmentof the tables elaborated in the informatics laboratory with the use of GIS.

To obtain a passing grade, the students have to pass both assessment.

Teaching tools

The applicative part of course will be held on the Informatics Laboratory of Engineering and Architecture School, Via Terracini.
