35443 - Product Design Laboratory (2nd cycle)

Academic Year 2019/2020

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Forli
  • Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Mechanical Engineering (cod. 8771)

Learning outcomes

The main aim of the lab is to provide students with the capability of using Reverse Engineering and Rapid Protptyping technologies in product design.

Both contact based and contactless Reverse Engineering techniques are presented. Training on processing and post processing of 3D geometric data with laser scanners and piezo electric scanners are performed. Also transmissive techniques for volume rendering are presented. Moreover how to interface data with CAD (Computer Aided Design) e CAID (Computer Aided Industrial Design) systems is taught.
