Learning outcomes

A student at the end of this course has acquired computer science competencies relevant to the fashion domain. In particular, a student learns how to interact with software platforms that are commonly used in business, marketing and e-commerce. In addition, a student will be capable of interacting with computer professionals, in order to be able to transform his/her ideas and creativity in a real implemented system.

Course contents

In all lectures, information technology material will be discussed adopting the perspective of fashion.

Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 of the book (sixth edition). SEO, WIX and Excel lab hours.

Assessment methods

Student assessment is based on:

(a) a written test (multiple choice) covering the textbook material discussed in class, with the aim of verifying how the student masters basic computer science concepts and terminology (50% of credit);

 

(b) a project (50% of credit). The project includes the implementation of a web project, following the instructions provided during lab hours (the file describing the requirements is available on the IOL platform pages associated with the course).
