Learning outcomes

At the end of the module the student has the knowledge and the ability to understand the principles of kinesiology in relation to the basic gestures of human movement, the extent and quality of excursion of joint fulcrums, strength and muscle length.

GENERAL CONCEPTS

Planes and axes of movement

Elements of functional anatomy of bones, joints and muscles

THE SPINE

Generalities and anatomical-functional premises.

The spine as a whole, functional units and characteristics of the various movements.

The different segments that make it up:

The pelvic girdle: anatomical-functional premises.
pelvic kinesiology in relation to the spine and lower limbs

The lumbar spine

The dorsal spine and thorax, the rib cage as a whole

The cervical spine

THE HEAD AND THE TEMPORO-MANDIBULAR ARTICULATION: the skull, bones and muscles. The temporo-mandibular joint, anatomo-functional premise and analysis of movements.

THE TRACK-HUMERAL TRACKS

Anatomo-functional premises. Relations with the trunk.

THE SHOULDER: anatomical-functional premises, analysis of movements

THE ELBOW: anatomical-functional premises, prono-supination

THE WRIST: anatomical-functional premises, relationships with the hand and movements

THE HAND: analytical kinesiology of the carpus, metacarpophalangeal and fingers.
The ANCA: anatomical-functional premises and analysis of movements

THE KNEE: anatomical-functional premises, analysis of movements
THE ANKLE AND THE FOOT: anatomical-functional premises, analysis of the different movements, analytical kinesiology of the tarsus, metatarsophalangeal and fingers.
