Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student will know the principal economic and financial databases used in the research process. Moreover, the student will know how to use these databases to extract the required information and how to construct, starting from row data, an ordinary database.

Course contents

The objective of the course is to allow the student to gain knowledge about different financial analysis models. Furthermore, the course covers a time series analysis with the construction of moving averages, oscillators and indicators (Technical analysis of the Financial Markets). The course deals with theoretical aspects and practical implications of the trading process and the correlation between asset classes. The target markets are: interests, swaps, credit, and equity.

Assessment methods

The examination aims to evaluate the knowledge of the arguments covered during the whole duration of the course. The exam is held in the laboratory. The final test will be structured as follows: charts analysis, open questions and multiple choice.
