Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student: - knows the reality of homeless people in relation to the varied world of services.

Course contents

This course will consist in:

  1. Ten meetings, about once a month (on Saturday); during these meetings, a lessons and a forum will be held;
  2. Guided visits to some structures of San Marcellino association in Genova.

During the meetings, an introduction about homeless people will be done, as well as some reflections about “accompagnamento sociale” approach.   
 
Alcohol-related and psychiatric problems will also be introduced, through an apposite thorough examination.
 
Moreover, some national and international cases will be presented (Compagnons de la Nuit from Paris, San Marcellino from Genova, Fundaciòn San Martin de Porres from Madrid).
