Academic Year 2018/2019

  • Docente: Cinzia Viroli
  • Credits: 3
  • SSD: SECS-S/01
  • Language: English

Course contents

This intensive course of 3 ECTS is held by two experts of social network analysis models: dr. Alberto Caimo and dott.ssa Isabella Gollini, who will alternate theoretical lessons with practical tutorials through the use of software R. In particular during the course the following topics will be introduced and illustrated:

  • Exponential models of random graphs and latent variables
  • MCMC simulation of random graphs and parameter estimation
  • Diagnostic techniques to evaluate the goodness of fit of the models
  • R software for network analysis (statnet)
